Winter, winter go away, come again in another 9 months?
One tips that I learned through my observation is...whenever you don't have something to talk about, always talk about the weather. That's like the easiest way to connect you with the other person. Oh nervousnya saya when I'm starting to be getting patient from the appointment list instead of bringing my own patient later. Can I converse well? Can they understand what am I talking and vice versa? TT___TT Let's just hope for the best.
The weather these days have started to become colder again. Aiyohhhh I thought when the cold winter starts earlier it'll end earlier as well. Boyyy I was wrong. There's like a second wave of ultimate cold winter starting. I hope this doesn't last long. I was surprised to see the weather forecast saying it might be snowing this Saturday! I hope the prediction is wrong. I've been enduring the cold weather without the help of my fan heater since the uber-high electricity bill came. Kecut-kecut jugakla jari duduk dalam bilik sebab sejuk sangat.
Oh just now we had our last 8.30am pharmacology lecture. Since the course coordinator kinda threatened us because of the low number of attendance, the class was full today! All this while the max number of people turning up for the lecture is like 18-19. And that is actually half the number of the class. I myself pun skipped that lecture quite a few times :P Today ALL of us came since the attendance is taken..maka datanglah mereka with a few of them came with quite a strong alcohol smell. I know the smell, since I lived with the Irish during first year, remember?
I hope I can start studying Pharm today. Gile pemalas tahap dewata raya dah neh TT__TT

Events of the events..
Thus, events like International Cultural Week and Islamic Cultural Event are our golden opportunity to give them some exposure on who we are. What we are. Why we are doing stuff like this and that and every whatnots questions they have in their mind that might disturb them all this while (cey poyo je)...
Story 1
I was accompanying Wany at Muslim Cultural Society (MCS) booth which was opened to educate them on what Islam really is. They exhibited basic things in Islam like what's Hijab, Halal food and stuff. Honestly, that was my first experience of this kind of thing because all this while there has been always a conflict with my class schedule.
And so we were approached by a guy, who seemed to be interested with our leaflets of information. He took the FAQs leaflets. I began to converse, and that was the start of the almost never-ending discussion with the guy.
The guy is an atheist (a free thinker, like that) and so he has a lot of thing in his mind against the idea of believing in God. What I understand that he thinks that we don't need a God to tell us what's wrong or what's right as those things can be deduced by our own moral thinking. Some of the questions he asked me was : -
- the response I got from local people ie the Irish. To which I replied the reponse has been so far so good as I haven't really encountered people who show their hatred to me etc etc. But my answer might be very biased as my world, so far revolved mainly around school and home only...
- whether I felt opressed by wearing Hijab. To which I replied not at all. And I don't even see the idea of opression by making us wearing this Hijab. Instead, this Hijab has save us from a lot of damages, I guess?
- whether Islam has put men on superior against women. To which I replied not really and then I passed to Kak Izzah to which she replied about how woman needs a man and vice versa. We also stressed out the point that opression of woman by man doesn't really occur now as we (as in, we, woman) can still go abroad, to study, work etc etc
- my opinion on Gays. To which I replied they are going against nature and trying to make the world upside down. The guy strengthen his stance by saying "Do you belief in God? SO why don't you belief God has His own plan by making them gay" in which I think is totally ridiculous. He even said that they are born to be gay and said something about being genetically gay. Oh cmon, how do gays passed on their genes to begin with? Now don't even talk me about IVF or any other ridiculous idea of gay couples getting a child. They are just destroying the child's future as they will make the child confused about themself. I belief in Allah. and I belief Allah create man and woman for them to complement each other. In Quran, we've been "warned" about this homosexual issues by the story of People of Lut. eh kenapa tibe2 panjang sangat explain pasal gay ni hahahah..
- the story of Ayaan Hirsi Ali,
And my evening at the MCS booth was spent promoting our chicken pies, beef pies, sweet porridge (bubur cha cha), chocolate cakes and bread savoury (?) in conjunction with "introducing" them about Halal food. It was really a good experience indeed :)
Story 2
Before Story 1 occured, I was in the Student Centre watching the performance of my fellow Malaysians for International Cultural Week. This annual event was organized by International Student department and each year, Malaysian booth must be the most urmmm...interesting I must say. Last year I was having my Biochem exam on the same week so I didn't get to perform/take part that much. It has been sort of a tradition that this event will be carried out by the 1st years. With the amount of 1st year students we have this year, the job was done excellently I must say!
I skipped Pathology class that evening to attend both events and I must say the experience that I got were really worth skipping the class!
Story 3
After our tiring Biochem lab, on the way out, I was having conversation with my Botswanian classmates F and KB
KB : You know the pie that u gave me yesterday (refer to story 1).....was it the rambutan meat?
Me : Huh? Rambutan? No that was CHICKEN pie.
KB : No no no it was rambutan meat, I know it was rambutan meat. The portion u gave me for the rambutan pie was so small
Me : What rambutan? Rambutan doesn't have meat
F : Yeah yeah yeah, in Malaysia you have a lot of oranggutan. you must be really eating tthem..
At that time I started bursting laugh...what??? ORANG UTAN rupenye..
Me : Oh no, that was not Orang Utan. That was chicken. And that's not how you pronounce it. It's o-rang (I paused) u-tan. Not oranggutan
F : Orangutan.
KB : yeah yeah it's orang (he paused) utan
And so they kept on repeating orang--utan for few times. heh~ sabo je lah...
Story 4
On the same day as the event in Story 1 & 2 happened, I (as in my housemates + Dayah and I) performed on the stage in front of the audience. For the second time of my life, I am contributing my sumbang voice to torture the audiences' ears. Hahahahha...it was even worse this year as I was still having my sore throat and I was struggling from not bursting cough. Hohohohoho....
anyway the event went well. and in the end of the day, I got to play with the adorable Darwisy Fakhrullah the tough guy. Hehehehe...
Ahhh..okay.I really should get going now. The cough syrup are really making my world goes around literally...

Don't make me hate you

hahaha baru prasan post ni takde tajuk. okay tajuknya adalah :snoww
Because Cork, just don't snow. Like that. That "heavy". Not that I know of. Coz I've been here only for 2 years and a half. So I don't know.
And it's been snowing all over UK and some part of Ireland. But it's not cool. At least not this week. Not cool at all. Flights have been cancelled. I really need to escape from where I am now. I just need it. Desperately.please :(
Moving on......
So today we had the curettes. There are 2 types of curettes, the Universal one and the Gracey curettes. There are used interdentally (celah2 gigi?) to remove calculus. The ones we tried today had 3 different sizes/angles 5-6 for anterior teeth, 11-12 for molar teeth, mesially and 13-14 for molar teeth distally.

While last week we had the Williams Probe. It is used to measure depths of periodontal pockets. Because in health, your periodontal pockets aren't supposed to be so urm..deep? So there are markings on the working end to measure the depth, ranging from 1-10mm.
hyaaarghhhhh tension ah

The Cold Cork
Last year it was a rainy winter, the same old Irish winter style - no snow but a lot of waterrrrr (as per said by seniors) The only snowy experience that we could get is a 10 minute hidup-segan-mati-tamau light light snow (excuse my term. hihihi). Adalah dalam dua tiga kali dapat sepanjang musim sejuk..
But this year is a wee different (from the point of view of a second year student lah). The weather is freeeezinggg collddddd.. I have to wear the bubble jacket that made me look more like a panda bear rather than a human. Shheeeshhhh...
Eh tapi rakan-rakan di tempat yang biasa bersalji-salji seperti US, Czech, UK bagai ni jangan lah gelakkan..Saya orang kampung Cork mane pernah tengok salji tebal-tebal... T______T"
Lucky me my lil cozy room provides a very warm atmosphere. ^___^ --> kenapa harini sungguh hyper?
Mom : Mak nak gi umrah bulan Januari ni..ofismate mak ajak
Me : Oh yekee...mak doa2kan la adik..
Mom : InsyaAllah....
Me : Mak doakan adik dapat jodoh elok-elok jugak
Mom : Ha kalau macamtu kenalah slim dulu..
Hahahahahahhahaa..cis disitu!

Kalut lagi serabut (lalu mengarut?)
I am parasiting in Dayah's house, again (and again. And yet she said "ala korang bukan selalu pun datang rumah ktorang" --> awhh...terharu..dah lah selalu derma duit time Poker. hehehe) THE internet has yet to come. Called Eircom to order our broadband (first we need a landline. Need to wait for 10 working days but we ended up waiting for like...30 days? Then after line is set up we need 24 hours before we could order our broadband. After that need to wait another 10 working days before they send the router) Was quite relieve to find out they have a better option for the speed which is 7MB. Ok lah tu. Before this the highest was 3MB. I know it's far slower than NTL, Irish Broadband (20MB) and all, but who are we to choose lah kan?
Anyway what made me come out with the title was the things happened today. After receiving a kinda heart-stabbing comment from a friend I was kinda..disturbed. Not that I am gonna be mad at him, betul gak KOT apa dia kata. But...urm...is 21 years old is old enough to be labelled andartu? Hurm hurm...the word is kinda harsh but I'm trying not to get all fussed with him over this (walaupun dah serang menyerang laser di comment2 lain) cause I'm trying to respect the differences between Men and Women. Men kan from Mars and Women from Venus. Unless they have elective class to learn each other language in their syllabus, they'll never get to understand each other right? Cewwaahh...nice try untuk menenangkan diri disitu.
Tapi still tak puas hati. 21 y old single ladies are andartus dah ke nowadays?
I'd better not even discuss about marriage lah here kang ade pula makhluk Allah yang buat statement Cork people doesn't have nothing better to do other than talking about marriage. Huhu..Whatevs la peeps. I am proud to be Corkians. (mengapa semangat tetiba ni? bear with me people, it's 4.40am now :P) And of this marriage and getting hook up thingy I leave it to God to decide what's best for me la dey.
Jap jap..perasan tak this entry is getting...nowhere?
Ok lah let's make a flow lah..
Morning : Called Eircom to order broadband ->Petang: Check facebook at library, receive comment -> went back home dengan hati yang hiba (hiba? ke panas?) ->Hampir malam :ke rumah Dayah menumpang internet -> Dah nak pagi : menulis blog ttg perasaan hati tapi sebab tulis di pagi hari otak tingtong.
Hurm..adalah kot connection dia..
Anyway put ramblings aside, here goes our prove (ke proof? argh otak tak berfungsi) of winning..

My pinky Jeep bicycle...made in.....Malaysia. yeah begitulah rakan-rakan...ikan di laut, asam di darat, di kedai basikal bertemu jua
I am officially a partial rempit now :P

Raya - Part 2 (aceh...nak jgak buat part-part gak)
As expected, orang melayu sentiasa mengotakan janji Melayu mereka. Huhu...plus it was raining on that day so the event started a bit later. But it's still within our time range la...
Me and Nida went by car with our self-cooked rendang (haha..perlu ke nak cakap pasal ni!!) by car with Lutfe and Muiz while the others took taxy to Mini Restaurant, UCC (vogue vogue takkan lah nak jalan kaki/naik basikal. muahahhaa)

The band sort of closed off the whole ceremony.
And the kemas-kemas session started...

Memecah kesunyian

Hello uols.
It's been a total silence for me this few days. Woke up to see the same four walls I've been seeing the last 48 hours. I'm doomed with boredom but fret not it is still NOT to the extend that I wish I'm back in Cork. I still feel I need more time in here. I still feel that the place is not interesting enough to make me WANT to go back there ASAP.
Nonetheless I still need to motivate myself that for this 5 years, my life kinda belongs to that place. I will still need to go back and spend the rest of 10 months there. Cry if I want. Complaint if I have to. But that's the path I chose and I can never look back now. Come 20th of September I still need to leave this heavenly place.
Tuuu...dia emo di pukul empat petang.
Let's put this emo-is feeling inside as I have something to look forward this Friday the 29th. It's gonna be one of the highlights of my summer holiday I must say. Plans have been made. Hopefully everythings goes well.
And I just found out AirAsia is opening free seats (but with lots of taxes jugak lah kan) until July 31st next year. Interesting isn't it? Rasa cam gatal2 je nak book. I have only like 20 days to travel on the given period since I'll be only in Malaysia on July the 10th. (T_T)'' Ermm too many places in my mind. On top of the list is of course Bandung. Rasa nak pegi Gold Coast lagi pun ade. Thailand pun is getting more popular these days. But I guess (and hope hope hope!) next year I'm gonna be busy with bro's wedding preparation, insyaAllah.
Oh yeah to my friends in Cork, welcome back to school. Ngeaha..heard that it's freezing cold now? Nasib la gwe bawak balik coat ke Malaysia last time. Bleh gune balik nnt..
p/s : mengidam buttered prawn. mane buleh dapatttttttttttttttt....
p/p/s : on a totally contradict note of the above p/s, I am VERY worried of my current condition. I am not exercising. And I felt that every clothes are shrinking. Lagi nak craving on food food food. Oh bummer! I shud've killed myself with a rusty blade! Die la you fat ass. >.<

A walk to remember
Cork snowed today. I was on the way to O Connoly Building for my Biochem tutorial when it happened. It didn't last long but it was snowy enough to amaze one so-not-little-girl like me who never witnessed a real snow fall. I stood for few minutes to enjoy the drizzle. Since I am cameraphone-less at the moment, nothing I could do to capture the jakun moment. But I quickly texted my mom & girlfriends to share the oh-so-jakun news =D The drizzle lasted for roughly 12 mins I guess..
It's freezing cold outside. Luckily the one who shared room with me isn't here at the moment. Else she could open up her window widely (which I kept on close when she's not here) and freeze out this room. I have to admit eventho I've been in this 4 season country for almost 4 months, I still couldn't tolerate the COLDness. Those layerssss (notice the S) of adipose tissue (a.k.a. Fat Fat Fat) isn't functioning well as heat insulator. Such a waste of talent. Why oh why are you creeping inside me (and made me look horrible) when you can't even do simple heat storage job? Haha..emo tak pasal-pasal.
Albeit the cold weather, I still went out today. I have sOooOooo many things to buy. CNY stuff. My kitchen stuff. And some makan2 stuff. It was such a hard decision whether to go out or to stay in my comfy duvet. I checked Yahoo! Weather forecast for tomorrow's weather. Tomorrow is expected to be less cold than today so I made a sudden decision to go to Wilton Tesco to buy some of the things first. It'll be less colder in the mall rather than shopping in town.
I hopped on bus No.8 right after Asar prayer. Went to Penneys, Neulook, Lifestyle (and fell in love with this €23 sport shoes. waaaa nak beli!!!!!) and finally Tesco. The weird thing was, I felt like walking back home. So I did. Put on my iPod, and enjoyed my lonely walk. Such a nice moment. Despite having 2L milk + vegetables on my back and a handful of
Mom's ticket is confirmed. She'll be in Amsterdam by 3rd of April but I guess I'll be only meeting her up in Brussels. She'll be here until 16th of April. The sad thing is, I'm having my Dental Practice finals on 22nd April. Hopefully I managed to push myself to prepare earlier. *sigh*
p/s : aahh...there goes the closed window. Damn It's widely open again. *freezing* Nasib baekkkk balek bawak scone!

Muchos Gracias
Big thanks to Atiq & Kak Rose, yesterday I managed to take another steps further from the town of Cork to Mahon Point (MP). Located 15-20 mins away from the town, we took bus #10 from Glasheen, stopped at the Grand Parade at town, waited for Kak Rose, and hop on the bus to MP. Finally....a REAL shopping complex with its own Cinema and several boutiques under one roof! Okay rase loser giler plak..
We watched The Assasination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Fort. Was hoping Enchanted is available on the screen but to my surprise, IT IS NOT OUT YET, tuan2 dan puan2. Ya...begitulah fenomena negara2 maju disini. But...whatever. I miss watching movie in a real cinema (eventho there were like only 10 of us inside there??) and the movie is packed of psychotic ppl who would pull the trigger off when they felt like doing so. Sakit otak saya mahu menerima!
The whole shopping trip was fun and enjoyable. I didn't take much pixies coz 1st- saye agak teruja dgn MP and 2ndly becoz my bag was such a mess, malas nak kuar2kan kamera! And my newly acquired skill solat-in-fitting-room was nearly perfect! Muehehe...Thanks to Debenhams and Zara comfortable and big fitting room!
I went back with one Debenham skirt shirt (whatever thing u call it, dun give a damn) and broccoli, rice and carrot from Tesco (?? apakah??), Kak Rose with some stuff from Gasolene and Atiq with her new bubu from Kak Rose. (Atique, mission cari hadiah birthday for urself gagal lagi!!)
We reached town at about 5.55pm and since my urinary bladder was about to burst (tahan wudhu' dari pagi nye pasal), I decided to take bus from town, instead of going back from Glasheen. Furthermore, I need to get home ASAP coz I promised the girls to cook dinner for them dan saya juga penakut dan saya takut mahu berjalan pulang keseorangan from Glasheen.
I had to wait for the #8 bus for 12 minutes! And it didn't stop in front of Castlewhite eventho I'm pretty sure the guy behind me rang the bell 5 freakin times!!!!! Dahlah kena berdiri and I had to grip the tiang on the bus firmly that I nearly fell several times. (ok statement takde kaitan) Then he stopped us at the next stop, in front of the Uni Hall and we (me and the guy) had to walk back to Castlewhite. Stupiiiiiddd!!!!!!
I reach home approx at 6.30pm. Changed clothes and rushed off to the kitchen to prepare things. Jeng Yin helped me to put the marinated chicken in the oven before that. I did the chilli sauce the nite before (right after Atique ajak gi MP.haha excited nye pasal). So I was left with the soup, kicap and the rice itself. I cooked Nasi Ayam for them. Luckily the whole thing turned out to be quite okay despite some kurang2 here and there. I'm glad they like it...
P/S : thans kak rose & atiq! muahxXxXxx..Atiq next year tak balek summer kumpul duet bleh blanja gi MP eh...yeaayy!!
