Gold Coast - postponed update

Here we go, Gold Coast pictures finally arrived!

Upon reaching Coolangatta Airport of Gold Coast, Australia. Yeah, we flew with AirAsia. The journey was okay. The plane was not bad. It was an 8 hours journey and we reached GC at about 8am.

Muke masih excited

I was quite surprised we went through the custom and immigration check quite smoothly. Australia has been well known of its strict check ups. Do declare everything that is inside your bag. Our Brahims rendang daging, maggi and tuna passed through the checkup tho. Oh and yes, please make sure you have the address of where you are staying in Aussie cause they'll need you to write that down on the yellow (yellow kah? lupe la sbnanye) card. Don't forget to get your online visa too! It's called ETA and it'll cost you 20Aud, but u'll get it free of charge if u fly with MAS.

After all hassle in the airport, we went to the information counter to get some info. Checked for prices and all. And we went to our apartment by the shuttle bus. It costed us 33AUD for a return ticket using that shuttle. Checked in to our apartment at Paradise Towers. The room is quite spacey and it's completed with cooking utensils, iron, ironing board, tv and even a mat (mahu duduk2 ditepi pantai kah). The location is perfectly strategic in the middle of Surfers Paradise. Few blocks away from Hard Rock Cafe and shopping places and the beach.

After shower and a bowl of maggi, we went out around the place and finally decided to go to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary.

Just like the keychain. Cume the botton part je kotor sket. ngehngeh

Feeding the kangaroo. Half excited half nervous!

Feeding the birds. I don't get many birds since they are full by the time we fed them

Pictures with koala (that's real!!)

Went to HRC that nite.

The next day we went to DreamWorld. Since the time is quite limited, we only get to go to one theme park only. Sad sad. I think there will be a next time to Aussie, but only to Gold Coast la I guess.

The wipers. Zack had bad time there. hehehe

Our first ride. Ala yg boat ride cam kat SunwayLagoon tu.

Giant Drop. Zack said it was nothing, but for me who is unadventurous at all, it is something!!!

The Claw yg memeningkan

Tata Dreamworld!

That nite we went to the beach for the nite market.

Dragon Sand. *hnsst hnssstt*

In front of our aprtment

My favourite store. Hehehe..just below our apartment. We bought our mineral water, juices and fruits here!

On the last day we went to the Harbour town - the shopping heaven for errr..almost everyone. They claim to cater a few factory outlets yg meletop2 disitu. But I didn't find the place interesting pun. Biasa-biasa aja.

We spent our last moment at the beach. Tenang. Indah. Cantek. Sangat!!!

Berangan surfing. Next time I go there rasa cam nak blajar surf je!!

Bye bye Gold Coast

I must say Gold Coast is a nice play for holiday for all stages of age. Don't worry on getting halal food coz u see, along the Surfers Paradise itself MALAYSIAN restaurant are almost everywhere. BUT, do check their prices tho coz a single mistake will cost u a lot! Muahahaha..

Mahuu..mahu pergi lagi..tak puas!

Bye Zack!

Update #3 - Sydney

Went to Sydney and stayed at Epul's house. I loike the place coz it's a so-called harbour city. So manyak pelabuhan and pantai. Saya sukkkkkaaaaaaa air! (be it beaches, seas, ocean etc etc)

So sebab dah feeling-feeling photographer hebat kan, here goes some of the pictures captured by my camera yang tak canggih ittew..

Sydney Opera House - overrated sangat!

The ferry & the bridge - candle mode

Budak moody atas ferry. hehehe..

Tatkala matahari menembusi bumi. ngehgeh..

Bridge & sun

Beach at Manly Harbour

In Sydney we purchased a weekly ticket that costed about 40Aud. Yes, transportation fare is so high in Aussie. But it's kinda worth it la coz we get to ride on the ferry too with the ticket. A single ride to Manly Harbour would cost us about belas-belas dollar sudeyh..Plus, Epul's place is quite far from city so like it or not, we have to take bus to the city..

Sydney & Melbourne to me are two cities with different attractions. In Melbourne the shopping area is kinda concentrated in the city so u could get everything within walking distance. But it's different from Sydney. In Sydney, shoppers might find it hard to get a place to shop til u drop coz the shops are everywhere. But I loike Sydney coz my favour towards water-ish place kan.

With Epul on the ferry

Muke blagak with Zack

Aussie aboriginees.

Muke sengal depan opera house

Budak-budak riang depan Opera house captured by budak tak bleh lompat *sob*

p/s : I'm back in Malaysia. Terpaksa bersiap-siap berlari-lari ke Kelantan pula. *sigh* See u in another 3 days!

Update #2 - Melbourne and Eating

My impression about this Aussie trip, particularly in Melbourne - it's all about eating. U eat eat eat till u fat and then u get mad. Itulahnyer...U think u go on holiday u eat less and walk more. But expect something different from Melbourne. With the overflowing halal shops, u can stay there for a week and dine out at different places EVERYDAY!

Us at Kanpai, Japanese shops

Here are some places we went to eat/drink:-
  • Max Brenner for its chocolatey drink
  • Kanpai restaurant for Japanese cuisine.
  • Es Teller for Indonesian food
  • Dolce Fredo for the oh so yummy ice cream
  • Bismi for Mamak food
  • Koko Black for again, hot/iced chocolate
  • i-forgot-the0-name little cupcake shop

besides Yarra River

at Dolce Fredo, eating the yummy Rocher Ice-cream.

On our last nite in Melbourne, we went to Crowne Plaza to watch................
fire.
Yes, a flame that came out every hour. We missed the last fire by 5 minutes so we had to wait for another 50 minutes for another...fire. So we went into the mall. Fooled around here and there and finally the fire went out.

saya dan api. di belakang. tak nampak sangat sebab kamera tak canggih. *sigh*

Suddenly we bumped onto segerombolan..oh tidak sebenarnye beberapa (iaitu banyak) gerombolan perempuan. And guess who I met?

me & Ezzathy

Maaf gambar gelap, but it's Ezzathy! My ex-classmate back in KMB. She was my ex IRP mate. We weren't super close, but I respect her a lot! Ermm..of something I don't dare to elaborate. Malas nak timbulkan kontroversi. *sigh*

cheeessyy

at Koko Black

at Bismi with Oya!

And di Melbourne juga, setiap baju hitam saya dipenuhi dengan bulu-bulu kucing. hehehehe...In Zu's house we were entertained by 2 cute cats, Meon (Shana's) and Zorro (Zu's)

Update #1 - Skiing

First of all, haha..ampun for the previous post. It's just one of the days where ur head goes somewhere different from your mind. Pastu mulelah meroyan kan. Anyway thanx Lily for the words. Hahaha...it is soooo true!

So here's the first batch of countless pictures I took. Gold Coast picture had to be put on hold coz we uploaded the pictures to Zu's hard drive pastu terlupa nak amik. These are the pictures of our skiing trip to Falls Creek, about 4-5 hours drive away from Melbourne. Credit to Fizzy for the wonderfully captured moments.

Anyway 8 of us went to this ski trip. Fizzy as the driver + photographer, Aqeem the co-driver, Lina, Zu, Yus, Shana, Zack and yours truly.

Zu, part of Zack, Aqeem, Lina and Me

Lina, Me and Shana

Do you realize some of the pictures are so...wonderful? Some of those are taken by Fizzy's Nikon i-dont-remember but it's one of those camera that really shoots beautiful pictures lah! I had the oppurtunities to handle for a moment and fall incredibly in love with it. Ni yang rasa nak terjun in the photographing world ni. Hahahaha..but it's costly and I really need to learn properly before I got one. Eh betul-betul nak beli ke ni? Lalalala..

Me and Zu

Anyway........I lost my newly bought sunnies at Gold Coast. Maybe in airport I guess. Ouh kesedihann:((

Despite the name skiing trip and the picture above, I did not ski neither did I snowboard-ed pun. I am still recovering from my knee injuries hence I do not want to risk it. Coz u surely need to use the strength of ur knee to control from falling. And of course to not fall is really not an option for beginners! :P

I took this picture by my Exilim Z75! haha..santek kannn

In front of our accomodation.

haha..tatau ape motiffff..

Sejukkkk...

The skiing trip took almost 3 days. But it was wonderful knowing this cheerful people. Hehe...thanks everyone!
