A denied escapism

I am still in Cork. And I guess I'm not going anywhere this week *sigh*

It all began with the impulsive moment I had last week. A snowballing effect of stresses has made me crazy enough to book a ticket outside from Cork. A much needed escapism I call it.

A few days after my ticket has been confirmed it started to snow all over UK and even Ireland (and Cork!) I knew this is extraordinary.

But I never thought the sudden change in weather would cost me a heartbreak (acheh~) this weekend. When Ryanair has started to cancel flights last Monday, I began to start worrying. It got worse when Yahoo! news came out with a very devastating news saying that it's going to be an extreme and heavy snow the day I should be departing from Cork.

So the day has arrive. I've been constantly checking Ryanair website for updates since the night before and it all seemed good until this morning. But the friend said it was not at her side. And I started to tell myself to prepare for the worst. Prepare for the worst.

Nonetheless, I still kept hope that I would be able to fly to her. To get a fresh new air and to get around with people I'm comfortable with.

At the very last minute I packed my things and went to the airport, checked in and waited at the departure hall. Hurmm..it all looked so good at that moment.

The first announcement were made and at that instance I knew that it's not going to happen.
The second announcement and it's confirmed.

I am very frustrated but in a way I'm thankful because the flight is cancelled. Had it been delayed, I would not be able to get my refunds. So I went straightaway log on to the website to send my refund application and waited for my partner in crime to arrive to share the bad news.

But hey, I can still handle the frustration though. Even there are many a few regrets...
Like MacBabe not to be able to get her screen replaced.
And I will still stuck in the same 'ol Cork
And we had to cancel the date this Sunday

Maybe there are some plus points of me staying here rather than enjoying my ass there...
Like starting to dive into my notes
Or organizing my messy life
Or I may start appreciating Cork? (blah.)


I might just start swimming now. Maybe I can reach Malaysia just in time for Wani's birthday celebration? :D

Don't make me hate you

Hello. Today is a record. It's been raining snow for a few hours without stop. Whew..

On the way back from Lee Malting's to my house, the snow rain was quite heavy that my view was a lil bit distracted.
Anyway by 1 pm or so, the snow rain finally stopped.

To whom it may concern,

This week is a very busy week.
I have 9 am classes almost every day.
When I have 9am class I have to get up as early as 6.45am and be ready for school.
Because my classes are not that short one hour one hour class.
The 9 am classes are usually 9-12 (for Monday and Tuesday)
And my classes are not only in one place.
They are everywhere.
Like today.
I have to run here and there.
So I am tired.
At night I could only manage to revise 2 notes.
Then I'll be too tired already.
Apart from going to class I need to run errands too.
I need to buy groceries for house.
I need to manage as much thing as I can for the CNY celebration this week as I am not going to be there on the day of the event.
So excuse me.
Excuse me people.
I am tired

Excuse me, but I can't help but to feel excited (or jakun, or whatever u call it) with the short snowing moment we had just now.

Because Cork, just don't snow. Like that. That "heavy". Not that I know of. Coz I've been here only for 2 years and a half. So I don't know.

Sorry for the unstable-ness of the video though. Jakun lah katakan

And it's been snowing all over UK and some part of Ireland. But it's not cool. At least not this week. Not cool at all. Flights have been cancelled. I really need to escape from where I am now. I just need it. Desperately.please :(


Moving on......

So today we had the curettes. There are 2 types of curettes, the Universal one and the Gracey curettes. There are used interdentally (celah2 gigi?) to remove calculus. The ones we tried today had 3 different sizes/angles 5-6 for anterior teeth, 11-12 for molar teeth, mesially and 13-14 for molar teeth distally.


While last week we had the Williams Probe. It is used to measure depths of periodontal pockets. Because in health, your periodontal pockets aren't supposed to be so urm..deep? So there are markings on the working end to measure the depth, ranging from 1-10mm.

Restructuring

The blog has gone through some ammendments to make it convenient for me and hopefully you. I'm still contemplating whether to make it into 3 columns or just to remain as what it is. Urmm...and I am yet to find background that suits my appetite....

I hope I am good in picture editing. Sadly I don't :( So I might just wait until I found something that really suits me..For the time being, let's just be satisfied for what I have :)
